Monitoring for Local & Federal Law Enforcement Agencies
With over 30 years of high-level work with the DEA and other local and federal agencies it is no surprise that 100% of DEA agents request our monitors and translators to be the shift leader on their cases.
Protrans is now hiring Spanish, Arabic, Hebrew and Jamaican Patois linguists to work under our five-year sub-contract with the United States Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

As a linguist under this contract you will assist the DEA with narco-trafficking and money laundering investigations. Positions are available in Los Angeles and Ventura counties of California and in Las Vegas, Nevada. The starting salary is $21.58 per hour plus $3.24 per hour for health & welfare, with 2 weeks paid vacation, ten paid federal holidays and a 401k plan.

The work for Spanish linguists is consistent throughout the year while the work in the other languages is on a project by project basis and can last between 3-6 months at a time and therefore offers a slightly higher compensation. All positions associated with this contract require a security clearance from the DEA for which Protrans will sponsor you, provided that you satisfy the security requirements established by the DOJ. The first requirement is that you MUST be a citizen of the United States. The other security requirements will appear after you have reviewed the qualifications required to obtain the positions.
